I started working with leather in 1996. I was handed a set of basic tools by a local custom saddle maker, Troy Mask. This in turn sparked my desire, developed my tooling skills, and grew my interest in saddle making. As a result of the industry my family and I are involved in, I had the chance to see many custom saddles. They left an impression in my mind as to their quality and how a saddle should be made. This started off as a hobby of mine, and became a passion which I turned into a business.
One of the things that will cause you to have an appreciation for a good saddle is spending a long period of time on a horse back. Riding horses with an ill fitting saddle will cause soreness, discomfort, and the inability for your horse to perform. A well fitting ground seat will enable you to preform at the peak of your riding abilities. Not only will your horse prosper from a proper fitting saddle but so will you.
